
Kodachrome Basin State Park, located just twelve miles from Tropic, is host to innumerous incredible views. This incredible area is home to multi-layered and colored sandstone forming high-rise stone spires called sedimentary pipes. This is park is a must-see in any tourist’s itinerary.
This park provides an array of accommodations that keep even the most avid outdoors person immersed. It offers day-use and overnight camping options. Activities, besides extensive hiking trails, include archery, a disc golf course, horseback riding, E-bike and mountain bike rentals. Stay the day or have an unforgettable weekend adventure.
This park also has a laundromat and limited eating options at the visitor center.

Camping
Kodachrome State Park offers some developed camping options, including Bryce View Campground and Basin Campground. They each offer full hook up sites for RVs and standard sites without utilities. Each site is closed December to March and November to March, respectively.
Best Time To Visit
The best time to visit this state park is during the spring/summer timeframe. Hitting the trails early or later in the day can help to avoid day time high temps and some of the crowds.
